I’ve spent my career in biomedical innovation, focused on realizing the value of emerging molecular and digital technologies across biopharma R&D and digital health, including the promise and challenge of translating molecular and digital data into a deeper and ultimately more actionable understanding of individual health.
More recently, I’ve begun exploring a second question: how technology might be used to cultivate agency and improve health.
Executive advisory
I work as an executive advisor across biomedical innovation and science-based health technology, with particular depth in biopharma R&D and emerging digital technologies. Much of my work involves helping leaders navigate where new technologies genuinely add value—requiring attention to the nuances of science and organizational culture, as well as a feel for the human factors that often determine whether promising technologies are adopted and their potential realized.
Agency + health
A relatively new area of work, growing out of my enduring belief in human possibility, asks a more upstream question: what does science tell us about what it takes to preserve and enhance health, rather than simply manage illness? Within that broader inquiry, I’m especially interested in the power and possibility of agency—our capacity to shape our lives—and how cultivating it might help us live better and improve our health. That interest is reflected in my current work at Lore.
My career has included leadership roles in biopharma, health technology, and strategic venture investing. I’m currently Chief Medical Scientist at Lore Health, a lecturer at Harvard Medical School, and an adjunct fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.
